15. The Oberoi Rajvilas Hotel, India
The hotel is located 20 minutes away from the center of Jaipur, which is known as the “Pink City” and is the capital of Rajasthan. The buildings that were originally built on this hotel’s site are about 280 years old. Nowadays, the hotel looks like a fort and has 54 rooms, 14 fancy tents, and three large villas.
Catherine Heald from Remote Lands says it’s extremely luxurious. The walls are decorated with gold leaves painted by an artist named Ghanshem Nimbark, and there are also paintings by a famous modern artist named Paresh Maity. Once you’ve enjoyed all of that, you can take a walk in the hotel’s big flower gardens, which are also very extravagant.
