12. Pink Sand Beach – Indonesia

When we talk about beaches with different colors, people really like taking pictures of beaches like the Pink Sand Beach in Indonesia. This beach is on a small, empty island near Komodo Island and is part of Komodo National Park. Even though it’s far away, it’s definitely worth visiting. In the Indonesian language, Bahasa Indonesia, the beach is called Pantai Merah, which means Red Beach.
The name makes sense because the sand on the beach is pink. This happens because tiny bits of red coral mix with the sand. Interestingly, there are a few other beaches in the world that also have pink sand. For example, there are some in the Bahamas and on Crete Island in Greece.
